Friends (PTA)
Our Parent Teacher Association is called the Friends of Llangynidr.
The Friends welcome new parents and carers into the school, get stuck into fun events as part of the wider community, and raise funds to help improve the facilities for the children. It is also a place for parents and staff to raise questions and talk about ideas for the school.
All parents and carers are automatically considered to be a Friend, and we invite everyone to our meetings to hear what we've been up to and what's planned, suggest ideas or get involved.
Friends have organised community days at school to create wildlife zones and growing spaces for the children and we even made the local papers. We have cleared more space for veg patches and provided funding for Forest School training and for extra provision in our Forest School area.
We run the popular village Christmas Fair every year and put on a tea and cake tent for the (nearly) world famous Llangynidr Agricultural Show.
